We finally made it to winter. The rains came, bringing with it the cooler temperatures we’ve been waiting for. We had play dates with friends (little kid and the mama-kind too!) It’s remarkable how going for a walk takes a long time, simply because we’re exploring the beauty of the neighborhood. And how quickly everyone gets cold!
The bag of knitting came out, and a Christmas present for a certain little girl has begun to take shape. Never mind that the whole thing got twisted, and I only noticed 4 inches in… I had to frog it out, and start over. It really didn’t matter. We were sitting in front of the first fire of the season, with the kids watching A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. It was lovely, just gathering together as a family.
I organized all the handmade sewing projects I hope to make this year for the holidays. I just have to find time to make them all… I did finish a skirt project for me – it’s a lovely flannel with pink hedgehogs. Perfect for those days at the office.. I’ll share it with you soon.
