sunday gardening

Sundays are the best days of the week. We don’t need to rush to school, or run any errands first thing in the morning. We can sleep in (well, one could sleep in if the little ones did), and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. We also spend time outside, sitting on the patio, while the little ones run around the yard. It’s just a nice time to enjoy as a family. Luckily for us, it’s finally starting to cool off in the mornings too. It was 60 degrees the other day – just lovely.

This weekend, Sophia started helping me in the new strawberry and asparagus patch, and then got bored & left.  Gabriel woke up, and helped me finish all the planting. We planted chard, cabbages, broccoli, and kale, in addition to some lovely flowers. In the end, he helped water by pouring water all over himself, several times in a row. Such a dedicated worker! He had a blast.
