We left the house by 8 AM, and it was already 87 degrees out. After setting up our blanket & my chair with my book (who was I kidding?), we were off. Climbing stairs, sliding down slides, swinging on the swings – we were exploring the playground like never before. Gabriel mastered the art of climbing stairs and sliding down the slide – by himself- in no time. Sophia eagerly shared of love of climbing tall structures, but Mama knew Gabriel wouldn’t be able to keep up. So we watched her climb high. We played. We sweated. Then it was break-time with snacks on Gigi’s quilt. And off again, until it was too hot to play anymore, and time to go to the french bakery for croissants. Summertime.
