another airstream

Sophia was so excited one night to see “another shiny trailer” pulling into our RV park.  We were too, mostly because we hoped we might to get to see inside. We were in for a surprise…this 1976 31 foot airstream had been completed gutted and remodeled on the inside. It was gorgeous! The owners did all the work themselves, just playing aorund until they got it right. I’d say they certainly did! You can see more on their flickr site at AFresh1.

they re-engineered the closets and added a light-weight storage solution
custom carpentry for the front banquet – and there is additional storage underneath – and it makes into a bed!
custom woodworking – 1/2 inch plywood for the frame, 1/4 inch for the top.
original wallpaper & sink from 1976. redesigned bathroom…
they re-engineered the bed to accommodate a queen and you can raise it up entirely for additional storage
i love the stainless steel back splash (original sink) – makes for a very modern look inside the trailer.
they reused all the original drawers and used that same wood all over the trailer – just a standard wood you can get from home depot.
this picture is for my dad – the nice & convenient way to store the fire extinguisher!
i’ve got lots of ideas now dad!

Happy 5 month birthday to Gabriel! Time has flown by!

my sweet silly boy!
